# Assinatura digital

A assinatura digital é uma tecnologia que permite a autenticação de documentos e transações digitais, ou seja, uma assinatura digital funciona como uma assinatura manuscrita em documentos físicos, mas com uma série de vantagens específicas que são possíveis no meio digital.

No contexto da Portaria 315 do MEC, implementada em 2018, as Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) no Brasil começaram a adotar a assinatura digital para modernizar e agilizar a emissão e validação de documentos administrativos e acadêmicos, como diplomas e certificados. Essa medida reduz a burocracia, aumenta a segurança dos processos e promove a sustentabilidade ao diminuir o uso de recursos físicos. Assim, o Ábaris coloca na sua IES um elemento essencial na modernização e eficiência dos processos institucionais.
