No contexto da Portaria 315 do MEC, implementada em 2018, as Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) no Brasil começaram a adotar a assinatura digital para modernizar e agilizar a emissão e validação de documentos administrativos e acadêmicos, como diplomas e certificados. Essa medida reduz a burocracia, aumenta a segurança dos processos e promove a sustentabilidade ao diminuir o uso de recursos físicos.
