# Como criar validações com uso de expressões regulares

A expressão regular é interpretada como uma regra, que indicará sucesso se uma entrada de dados qualquer casar com essa regra, ou seja, obedecer exatamente a todas as suas condições.

É possível efetuar o cadastro de validações de expressões regulares para os campos dos formulários. Assim, sempre que um formulário for submetido por determinada pessoa, suas validações serão testadas. Se o conteúdo digitado pela pessoa não corresponder à regra da validação, ela será obrigada a alterar o texto digitado.
